I love a good Norah Gaughan cable pattern …
I started this pattern on the size 43-1/4 at the gauge inputted above. It was huge. My bust is 39 and I am true US size 12
I am not absolutely certain but I think the ease is incorporated into the pattern. Pattern is +5-6 inches of positive ease.
The raglan is deep
Started again and cast on for size 39-3/4
Page 6 of pattern:
Cast on 104 stitches for size smallest size. 39-3/4 inches
Next round: did as written: Knit 2, work and 1 of chart, k2, p1 repeat; my sleeve stitches look like this between the charts: k2, p1, k2
My sleeve stitches are 5 stitches between the charts
Next round: as written
Page 7:
Next rnd; this is rnd 3 on chart; where it says 39-3/4 only: these are the sleeve cap/stitches
next round: chart/rnd 4 - as written
repeat last 2 rounds 5 more times: these are rounds/chart 5 through and including round 14
Next round: that’s round/chart 15
On sleeve stitches knit the chart stitches and come to the sleeve stitches: k2tog, P1, SKK; do this the same on the next sleeve
My sleeve stitches are now 3 between the charts and these stitches are 3 knit stitches

All Sizes resume: works established; “91 stitches for the chart markers and 3 stitches for each shoulder”
Division round: I cast on 6 stitches are each arm hole
Body length: from the separation of sleeves and body. Here the body stitches were knitted for 12 inches; then the ribbing was started and followed directions to bind off.
Ribbing: Did the 1x1 ribbing on US 6 as written
Bind off in pattern using a US 7 needle
Body length on me: I am 5 foot 4 inches tall. The finished pullover is hitting me right at my … crack …. sorry … didn’t know what write for that!
Page 9 Sleeves:
Picked up stitches for smallest size, picked up 4 stitches around cast off edge plus 2 stitches on either side of the cast on edge. K2tog from the cast on stitches to the sleeve on either side of these cast on edge stitches.
Knitted in the round for 7 inches or 33 rounds.
Finished arm length is 14 inches.
Ribbing is 1-1/4 inches.
At 7 inches, decrease round: k2, k2tog - knit to last 4 stitches: ssk, k2 BOR
Knit 9 rounds. Round 10 is the decrease round.
A total of 5 rounds were decreased. One more stitch needed to come out before ribbing was started.
I went from 43 sleeve stitches to 32 stitches
Page 10 Collar
The neckline looks big but doing the pick up stitches as written brings the neckline up
