MC Coast held double, CC Akari

Used 4mm needles for body and 3.5 for armhole and front trim

Both my stitch and row gauges are off so I’m casting on for size 6 in the hope of achieving size 5 & adding rows to armholes

Will make it longer and add pockets. Have enough MC but not sure about CC so will start with provisional CO

Mods

• pockets CO 35 st, knit 11 r garter with MC + 24 r stockinet stripes + 11 r stockinet with MC, put on holder when finished,
• cast on with provisional CO and knit a few rows before separating fronts and back, followed this example and did not knit the garter column at the sides,
• picked up provisional CO and knit stockinet stripes until I ran out of CC + 12 r stockinet with MC - last r k10, knit on pocket, knit to last 45 st, knit on pocket, k10 + 20 r garter with MC, BO knitwise on WS,
• armhole knit four more stripes,
• shoulder used German Shortrows (double-stitch) instead of w&t,
• armhole trim picked up 44 + 44 st and knit 10 r garter,
• front bands picked up 179 + 36 + 179 st and knit 20 r garter,
• stitched down sides of pockets.
