Why do all glove patterns have such slim fingers?! This one is at least just a little off and the hand fits perfectly.

Gloves to match this hat and cowl set so I’m using that pattern for the colourwork.

2mm needles for ribbing & plain stockinet on hand, and 2.25 for colourwork on hand & plain stockinet on fingers.

Mods

• I have thin wrists so I only cast on 60st for the ribbing and then increased to 64 on the first stockinet r,
• knit ribbing 26 r (c. 6 cm), used trick for a neater transition to stockinet on the last r,
• moved BOR to outer edge of hand, for left hand knit palm on needle 1 & 2 and back on 3 & 4, for right hand other way around,
• made thumb-gusset 21 st,
• separate for little finger at end of 3rd plain r, knit another 4 r and separate for the rest on the 5th,
• cast on 4 st for index finger = 24 st, knit 30 r (32 on right hand), decreased until only 1 st left,
• middle finger cast on 4 st, picked up 6 and decreased away 2 on the first r = 24 st, knit 35 r, decreased as above,
• ring finger picked up 6 st and decreased away 4 = 22 st, knit 28 r, decreased as above,
• little finger picked up 8 st and decreased away 2 = 18 st, knit 21 r, decreased as above,
• thumb picked up 7 st, decreased away 2 st on the 1st r and 2 on the 2nd = 24 st, knit 21 r (23 on right glove), decreased as above.
