The charts feel tricky the first time but the second time when you have more st on the needles and can “see” where you’re going they’re a piece of cake.
Thought the tassels looked a bit silly but it looks even sillier without them. Maybe I could make short tassels? Will try tomorrow.

Mods

• Holding Mechita & Glitter double for the garter spines & tassles + the reverse stockinet in the central wedge + the lampions = c. 80m used.
• Making tassles 15 stitches only and knotting them together. This makes them look less floppy and silly. Using backward loop caston & cast off with 3mm DPN.
• Making 3st garter edge in the shortrow wedges too.
• Using German shortrows (double stitch).
• Knittin one more tassle-segment = 8 total so made central wedge proportionally larger - 18 shortrows instead of 16.
• Using reverse stockinet instead of garter in the central wedge.
• Mirroring the shortrow wedges on the decrease side.
• Made icord before lampion 8 rows and after 2.

Timeline
2017-03-22: Unraveled what I knitted yesterday and started over from the beginning. Shorter tassles look better than none. Finished the first tassle segment.
2017-03-23: Finished second tassle segment.
2017-03-24: Finished third segment + shortrow wedge.
2017-03-25: Finished fourth segment + wedge.
2017-03-26: Finished fifth tassle segment.
2017-03-27: Finished the fifth shortrow wedge.
2017-03-28: Finished the sixth segment + wedge.
2017-03-31: Finished the seventh segment + wedge and started on the eight segment.
2017-04-01: Finished eight segment and started on central wedge.
2017-04-02: First half of centre wedge finished.
2017-04-05: Finished the centre wedge but I’m not sure I like the way it turned out with the Glitter added.
2017-04-06: Can’t make up my mind so this goes into hibernation unril I have.
2017-04-11: Have decided I like it after all so this goes back into the wip-pile again.
2017-04-16: Finished first tassle segment onthe decrease side and started on the first shortrow wedge.
2017-04-17: Finished first shortrow wedge and started on second segment.
2017-04-19: Finished second segment.
2017-04-20: Finished second wedge.
2017-04-22: Finished third segment and started on third wedge.
2017-04-23: Finished third wedge and fourth segment, started on fourth wedge.
2017-04-24: Finished the fourth wedge.
2017-04-25: Finished the fifth segment And the fifth wedge, started on the sixth segment.
2017-04-26: Finished the knitting. Washed & blocked. Waiting for it to dry.
