4th Jan: tension is just right on 3.25mm, so cast on for the back. worked 34 rows rib, 77 rows patt to armhole, finished armhole at row 29. after checking errata for finished length, worked 10 rows rib to finish back. this wool feels quite hard, but softened when i blocked the piece, although it grew a little.

21st Jan: decided to work sleeve ribs on 3.25mm to fit my normal arms. finished and blocked sleeves.
30th Jan: finished and blocked front only to realise i stuffed up the eyelets completely. note to self: don’t watch Downton Abbey while knitting pattern!

June 2014: bit the bullet and ripped the front. all reknitted and blocked in 2 days, now i just need to seam it up. it was really hard to match my tension, i knit tighter after 18 months.

this is in the sin bin now because somehow the sleeves are too small for the armhole.
