This will be my main project for Geek University Class Lace 202: Basic Lace Knitting. Though that is obviously a side issue. The main issue is getting all the shawls done in time for the wedding in May. Obviously.

7th April: shawl no 1…. cast on with 5mm needles but did first section on 4.5mm needles as it was too loose. Don’t think it’ll make a huge difference to the blocked size, but it’s a lot nicer to work.

11th April: doing the second section on 5mm needles.

16th April: adding no 6 size beads as in the pattern and also on the mesh section following MiniRobe’s chart, but adding an additional bead on the last row between the k2tog and ssk at each tip.

Total beads for each shawl = 9 repeats x 31 = 279 beads.

18th April: first shawl finished. Cast off using 6mm needles.
