I didn’t check my gauge on this one, and the fit came out a little tighter than I wanted - interesting, since I usually knit loosely and was expecting it to be a little bigger than I wanted. Pretty happy with it overall though - it will get the job done!

I added ties with pompoms to keep the earflaps from curling up (a little too Elmer Fudd) and to be able to tie it closed when we walk outside by the beach in the winter. This will keep my ears and cheeks nice and warm! I made the pompoms out of roving as well, cut into 4” pieces and then felted with a hairbrush just like the body of the hat.
