I wanted to see how small I could make a Fair Isle Stocking. As it turns out, it’s pretty small!
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl starts small and goes big. The scalloped edging is knit on at the end.

Sweater is knit top down, in the round. The Front and Back are worked separately and joined at the underarm.

A simple striped tank takes a turn at the waist through the effective use of short rows to shape an asymmetrical hip. Worked from the bottom in the round, stripes melt on one side then merge to continue evenly up the bodice to the neckline. Take care to plan which end of the striping yarn to start with, so colors blend and coexist in harmony.

This three dimensional headband is a good introduction to the 3 needle welting technique. I needed to protect my ears during the harsh North Dakota winter, and this is the simplest possible item using the welting technique.
