This pattern is a fast knit and fun because there is a variety of techniques to use. The instructions use common abbreviations and the techniques are not explained in detail, it is assumed that the knitter knows them. Therefore the proficiency level is intermediate.

I designed this helmet thinking about Afghan women and girls, to wear under a headscarf in winter, or even to sleep. The opening in the back allows the hair to hang out free for comfortable wear.
