Knitting: Pullover
Slinky Slinky Sly is a slithery little knit that I was inspired to make when feeling a bit hisssssterical. It’s been a long year of days at home with my two lovely children and their germs (and germs and germs), and humour and laughter is a good way to keep putting one foot in front of the other. I have always loved snakes, and whimsical knitte...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I fell in love with Everlea’s “Cosmos” colourway and knew that I wanted to do something otherworldly with it. Quasars are highly luminous objects that are farther away from our planet than anything else in our universe. Quasar light that reaches us has travelled billions of years to find earth. The subtle tonal quality to this yarn offers glimm...

Tobacco Road is the name of a colourway from MurkyDepths Dyeworks that I absolutely fell in love with. I knew that I needed to make something particularly special to showcase her incredibly nuanced colour. The sheen and the depth of tone in this combination of merino, silk, and mohair makes it almost glow. I just love it.

Breaking Dormancy is a gentle knit for contemplative days. The blossoming buds remind me of the changing of seasons and the arrival of spring, when, after a long and dreary winter, the trees awaken and offer promise of new and different times.

Winter Juniper was designed for those peaceful days of rest in the winter months, where the world seems to stand still and we all gravitate to friends and family for a moment of connection.
Knitting: Mittens
Copy Paste Mittens are a modern play on the repeating patterningof traditional Norwegian mittens. These mittens are often recognizable by their eight pointed stars (or eight-petaled roses) and their abundant variation and detailing. Part of the magic of a truly cold winter is the play of snow and sun. Through the icy months the blindingly bright light is inspiring and rejuvenating. Knitting: Throw, Baby Blanket
This DK weight blanket was a special knit for my darling baby boy who started his life All Cooped Up in a pandemic instead of surrounded by friends and relatives. I was desperate for a little levity after the long days and longer nights. We have really missed our “village” during this lonely and isolating time.
Knitting: Pullover
This sweater is a response to my feeling sick of being “All Cooped Up” during the pandemic. The isolation from friends and family (and normal life!) has impacted us all in different ways, and a little levity goes a long way!
Knitting: Beanie, Toque

I have always been a sucker for a traditional knit with a twist, and I am a double sucker for a special knit that I can wear during the holidays. Fancy Fencework is the brainchild of both of those loves and a little nod to the beautiful animals that provide us with the incredible fibre that we all love so much.
Knitting: Pullover
For me, one of the wonders of knitting is the intertwining of nature, function, and art. This magical connection between animal and human, between pragmatism and idealism delights me to no end. This sweater was designed to celebrate the alchemy of fibre arts and the ingenuity of fibre production.

Knitting: Pullover
The poor maligned moth must certainly be the most feared creature for fibre enthusiasts. We squirrel away our wool and silk, surround them with soaps and bars and packets and balls, and check with bated breath at regular intervals for unwanted guests. This sweater is a little wink and a nod to these industrious little creatures who, like us, ar...

As a child, I hand reared a fledgling pigeon that had fallen from its nest. He became my constant companion, following me everywhere. He sat on my lap while I read, slept on my bed at night, and showered with me in the mornings. When I left for school, Pigeon would fly out my window to explore the neighbourhood. Walking along the ocean on a cold wet day is truly one of the great joys of living on the west coast. Upon moving to the West Coast of Canada I was overwhelmed by the lush greenery that flourishes year around. Some of the most prevalent plants here are the crawling sprawling wild blackberry bushes. These brambly thickets simply take over. If unchecked, their creeping tentacle-like branches quickly eat up the public pathways from underfoot and f...
