Knitting: Scarf
This is a thick, cozy scarf with a wavy band of contrast color. Colors are handled as in beginner-level intarsia, with instructions given. Crochet: Fingerless Gloves, Beanie, Toque
Note: a double-ended Tunisian hook is absolutely required for this project. Size H is recommended, but see gauge section for resizing suggestions.
Crochet: Purse / Handbag
A purse sized for carrying books, notebooks, tablet computers, or (of course!) knitting/crochet projects, worked in filet crochet with a heart motif. The bottom is reinforced and a shoulder strap is included in the pattern; the whole thing can be made from a single skein of worsted-weight yarn.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
A dramatic shawl with contrast-color wedges and a light airy feel due to oversized needles and a simple lace pattern. The shawl is semicircular, worked sideways, with wedges of (very simple) short rows both providing the shaping and making the colorwork very easy.
Crochet: Slippers
This is a loafer-style slipper with a decorative top. Tunisian simple stitch gives a thick, durable, cushiony sole and seamless/join-as-you-go design. Interchangeable granny squares (five different granny squares included with the pattern) let you customize your slippers.

The bag has a good capacity in both volume and weight--I can carry the Complete Far Side with no worries, or pac...
