Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I have always loved knitting hats, doing colorwork, and working cables. So what better project than a hat with two colors and cables? The raised textures of the cables makes the contrast colors really pop, and the thickness provided by the stranded knitting makes this an especially warm hat.
Knitting: Earflap Hat
This very warm and cozy hat was inspired by the award winning earflap hat designed by Kristine Byrnes for the Seamen’s Church Institute. Kristine’s hat was inspired by one pictured in a magazine published around 1910.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This quick easy and hat features simple stranded knitting to produce an enlarged Houndstooth pattern, and the clever rib decreases produce a comfortable flat crown with an appealing starburst pattern. The color palette can be changed to suit your taste and style.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This warm and cozy cap was inspired by the colors of mosses and leaves in the deep forest. It is a great project for using up worsted weight stash yarn. The color palette can be changed to suit your taste and style.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The Peace Shawl is a great little shoulder wrap with a terrific wearable winged shape. Worked from the neck down, the shawl features an easy lace pattern with the familiar peace symbol. Shown above in an eco-friendly bamboo and a crunchy silk boucle, this is a pretty and pleasant project for special yarn.
