This cowl was born from my love of reversible cowls and scarves, and textural stitch patterns that add interest, but aren’t overly complicated or too time consuming. I think it’d be perfect for a knitter who wants to try out circular knitting for the first time.

This free pattern is for a simple crochet lace muffler that will fit an adult, but can easily be adapted to other shapes and sizes with the instructions and information given.

This cowl was totally inspired by Purl Soho’s Trellis Scarf. I wanted to make a cowl version of the scarf and needed to use a different yarn to make it.

I cannot tell a lie - this is a very simple and somewhat mindless knit! It does, however, make a beautiful cowl that you’ll love to wear and the pattern is absolutely perfect for someone just starting knitting in the round.

I love a reversible scarf - no need to worry about which side is showing!
