This pattern was born when a friend asked me to knit hats for prizes in their local WIC group. I was happy to oblige, and several other people have approached me about them since then. Simple, you can easily whip these out while watching your favorite show or while waiting in the car to pick up kids.

Some small children I love happen to love bright colors, and were in need of Christmas stockings. After some brainstorming on how to make theirs stand out, the idea for Scrappy Chevron was born.
