Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
At the request of a friend, I have made up some squishy “foot things” out of ridiculously thick yarn. Forgiving rib will allow these socks to fit almost anyone, and they knit up in a flash.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Now you can knit your own globe to wear! Worked flat then sewn up, this hat does take a little intarsia know-how, but it’s done before you know it!
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
This stitch pattern, borrowed from the Harmony Guides, started out looking very different, but substituting a centered double decrease gives the bold line to the simple pattern.
Knitting: Cardigan
Noro yarns are well know for their long color repeats. The new Silk Garden Sock is a great mix of wool and silk, and it’s far softer to the touch than any other Noro yarn. The garter stitch pattern really shows off the beauty of the color changes.

Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
These toe-up socks feature a spiraling cable that twists across the foot and up the leg. The rest of the sock is worked in 1x3 ribbing to allow for a forgiving fit.
Knitting: Tee
It doesn’t get more basic than this. The classic tee shirt, re-worked to be easy, fast, and guaranteed to fit you perfectly.
Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
This might be the “perfect” knitted dishcloth. It’s a simple pattern that looks great on both sides. The fabric is thick, but not dense or stiff. The texture is great for scrubbing, but the cloth will wring out and dry quickly.
Knitting: Bib
This is a modified version of the Teddy Bear motif from Barbara Walker’s 4th Treasury of Knitting Patterns.
Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
The classic Ballband Pattern updated to look just as great on the “wrong”
