The fantastical rippled undersides of mammatus clouds usually mean dramatic weather is about to happen. You’ll use two yarn weights and tuck stitches (brioche) to create a cowl with a dramatic texture. The thinner yarn is slipped for 3 rounds and then used to anchor the puffy sections. It’s easy and fun, and you only work with one yarn per row.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Adventure reminder: this is a design in progress, a true exploration. I’ll be updating you as we go and the shape is simple, but I can’t make guarantees we will end up with a wrap instead of a wide scarf. This a true MKAL - if even the designer hasn’t worked on it yet, that’s obviously a mystery! This process assumes you are a brave knitter who...

Gnomes! Whimsical, dapper, endlessly delightful. I find making them so addictive that my teenaged son started to joke that I needed my own hashtag: #nevernotgnoming. Once I started I could hardly stop, and soon I was improvising ways to make them faster and simpler.
