The perfect light and chic addition to a frosty late fall day, this is a simple, yet sophisticated toque / beanie with a clean, graphic design, suitable for men or women. The knit and purl motifs do a fabulous job of bringing out the best in a skein of hand-dyed and/or variegated yarn.

Companion to the Leafy Mitts, this hat features strong, organic motifs, with embossed leaves circling the head, and the crown shaping creating subtle leaf “negatives”.

Note: The pattern is intended to be knit to a firmer than average gauge in an Aran or light chunky weight yarn. Knitting a worsted weight yarn to this gauge will likely not yield the same crisp definition of the motif, or a fabric with the same firm, hard-wearing properties.
