Knitting: Beanie, Toque
To commemorate the realization of one of my longest held dreams: completing the West Coast Trail. A 75 km backpacking trek on the coast of Vancouver Island that holds lush forest, plentiful wildlife, rugged trails, and endless ocean.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
The Peony and Black Plum of the prototype design was so refined that it immediately brought to mind scenes from a period drama. Perhaps a certain, popular fantasy series, and I could see Catelyn wrapped in this on a day before winter has come. And as Lady Stark is, well, my code name at work, it seemed like a proper fit.

It zigs. It zags. And by sheer coincidence, “zaeg” means “saw” in what appears to be… Flemish? The zig-zag pattern is certainly reminiscent of a saw, so it fits nicely. Deep and delicious, wear it scrunched around your neck, or pull it up for a cozy hood.
