Knitting: Cardigan
A quick-knit jacket or coat for a 19th-century look. The long version has a pleated skirt. The third picture shows the side pleat detail. The pattern is written for a longer pleat.
Knitting: Pullover
A striped pullover with drop shoulders. Worked with three yarns of your choice, an MC (here shown in navy), a CC (shown in wine), and a trim (also wine). Yardage is about 1000 of MC, 800 of CC, and 100 for trims. I can see this looking really good in two coordinating shades of Kauni!
Knitting: Muff
This is a muff knit in one piece and then stuffed with layer(s) of batting. It’s super cushy and can double as a pillow! You will also need 3 yards of double-faced ribbon, 3/8”, to complete the look. Techniques for knitting are stockinette in the round, seed stitch, and ribbing. A crocheted chain is used to make the loops for the rib...
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This is a sideways-knit (flat) long, ruffled, fingerless glove. Techniques include ribbing, cable cast-on, short rows, picking up stitches, seaming, picot bind-off (instructions given in pattern).
Knitting: Hats - Other
This is a really simple pattern, basically a knitted tube with a row of eyelets for the drawstring. Instructions are included for calculating the number of stitches you’ll need. Great hat for ponytail wearers!
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
I feel these are appropriate for Sacharissa, because they are practical enough to allow her to take notes in the cold; they are made of luxurious yarn; and they have a hint of sauciness from the corset tie.
Knitting: Scarf
A double-knitted scarf with Tiffany Aching’s “Land Under Wave” design (a Discworld reference).
Knitting: Scarf
A beginner’s double-knitting scarf using the soft yarn and wild colors of the Zauberballs. Other yarns can also be used.
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
This shrug takes 400 grams of sock yarn doubled on size 5 needles. Great for stashbusting!
Knitting: Pullover, Dress
“Devon is a superhero whose alter ego is The Peacock (because she can fly, but not very far or very fast). She is not a very showy dresser, but tends to favor peacock colors in her wardrobe. This empire tunic, with its pale turquoise bodice and variegated skirt, complements Devon’s down-to-earth lifestyle admirably.”
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This hat is a great way to use up stash oddballs. Two examples are shown: with one pigtail, and with three pigtails. The hat can also be made with no pigtails.
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
Knit with a variety of old furry novelty yarns in my stash. Feels & looks great, nice to snuggle into, but doesn’t do much for warmth!
Knitting: Shrug / Bolero
An easy shrug that can be made with any combo of yarns, the fuzzier the better!
Knitting: Pullover
This is the revised Rainbow Sweater pattern. The pattern has been changed from the old Rainbow Sweater so that it has a much simpler shape, a more fine color progression, the sleeves integrated into the body to prevent sleeve striping at right angles, and a scoop neck instead of the V-neck in the old pattern.
Knitting: Pullover
This was a bulky vest pattern originally and I added on the sleeves later. If I were doing it again I’d shorten the sleeves somewhat. Also this is an old pattern and I’m not sure Magnum is still available, but any super bulky yarn will do nicely.
Knitting: Pixie Hat
This hat can be knit with any yarn & needle combo that gives 4 stitches to the inch. The pictured yarn was a Flammgora yarn which was, I think, angora blended with lambswool. I can’t find web info for Flammgora any more, so I assume this yarn is no longer in production.
Knitting: Pullover
The fabric of this sweater is uncomfortably thick for something done in cotton. And if you read the pattern you can only imagine how I wrestled with all the shaping and color changes. I just finished writing a new pattern for a simpler and more sensible version; I suggest you try that rather than this old clunker.
