Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
These patterns are a scaled-down version of my Textured Blanket pattern; and, like the blanket, are very, very easy to make using only knit and purl stitches. I thought it would be fun to have a washcloth to match the blanket, so those who are so inclined could gift the blanket and a matching washcloth to new parents.
Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
This pattern uses the following stitches: knit (K), purl (P), slip one stitch as if to purl (Sl1), yarn over (YO), and pass the slipped stitch over (PSSO). It really is easy enough for a beginner to make.

This is a “companion pattern” to my Making Tracks Washcloth pattern. It is also very easy to make, using only knit and purl stitches.

This is a very easy pattern to make. It uses only knit and purl stitches. Gauge doesn’t really matter -- you can make the washcloth larger (wider) by adding more stitches in multiples of 3. Instructions are included to make a wider cloth, and it can be made longer simply by knitting additional rows.
Knitting: Baby Blanket
Although I made this blanket with worsted weight yarn, this pattern can be knitted with any weight yarn. Your personal gauge will determine how many stitches to cast on, but you must use an odd number of stitches.
