Knitting: Beanie, Toque
I needed a hat to wear under my ski helmet to keep the wind from whistling in my ears. I like the look of an ear warmer but they don’t stay put, so I designed a hat that sort of looks like an ear warmer. I can also leave it on after skiing so my helmet-hair doesn’t show.
Knitting: Scarf
Lenya is a crescent shaped scarf/shawl that is knitted with mitered triangles, each created completely, one at a time, and then knitting across all the triangles a lace section is worked. The finish is a short row section that gives the piece a graceful curve.
Knitting: Fingerless Gloves
This pattern can be made with about 35-40 grams of left over sock yarn. The fabric is very stretchy so one size fits most and both gloves are made the same and can be worn on either hand.
Knitting: Knee-highs
