Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
These socks are ribbed with a “Left Twist” or “LT” mock-cable. The pattern can be memorized after a couple of repeats and doesn’t even involve an actual cable needle.

Here’s a quick and easy hat pattern that you’ll go back to time after time because not only is it unisex (a slouchy feminine hat, or masculine folded over hat), it can serve as a blank canvas for a textured stitch pattern or color- work that you may want to add to the hat body. It’s a classic.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This simple slouch is quick to knit up with bulky yarn, and is satisfying to wear. You can easily modify the length to make it less/more slouchy to fit your taste.
Knitting: Throw
Behold, a comfy afghan for cozy reading or movie snuggling that mesmerizes the eyes while being mindless to knit up. This lightly laced pattern can be memorized quickly, and most of the visual work is done through the type of yarn itself. One can almost say that you can knit it while reading? Yes, please.
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Note: this is a very lightly slouched hat. It does not droop like a regular slouch.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
2/24/16 note: if working with THIN fingering weight yarn, you may want to knit two knit-rds between working your decrease rds on the star heel (at least for the first couple of decrease rds) so the heel doesn’t stretch out as much.

Well, today was the day I remedied that, crafter style. And it couldn’t have been more “ins...

NOTE: please, please, please, please read the pattern through. I can’t stress enough that the pattern does NOT do the laddering until the last/bind-off row! Please do not email complaints insisting that there is a typo. 50 inches of stockinette really means to do 50 inches of stockinette first. Please watch the video first if you have any ...

Have you ever wanted a hat that looked interesting, but was a “no brainer” to knit up? This hat plays with the double wrapped stitch technique, but couldn’t be more simple to do, and can be memorized on the spot. Talk about instant gratification.
