I knitted this hood in Maxi mohair and used the yarn doubled. (the larger number in the yardage was what I actually used!) Any super bulky yarn should be able to be used singly and with less yardage.

Basic, simple top down sock. This needle size makes a nice dense knit. If you wish to knit for a bigger foot I’ve found just using a larger needle does fine, the finished product is a little less dense but still wearable and durable.
