This pattern is written to make 1 security blanket sized 17”x14”. you can create a larger blanket using a larger loom using the amount of pegs divisible by 8. this blanket has a beautiful texture and the backside of the fabric is lovely too.

this pattern was made using 1 strand #4 worsted weight, Lion brand a pound of love yarn on a cindwood 3/8 gauge 48 peg baby hat loom. It includes directions for an adult sized hat on the 88 peg loom by cindwood in the same gauge. the stitch is worked over 8 pegs. If using another loom make sure the peg count is divisible by 8.

this lovely cocoon set can be used from infant to 3 months depending on how its worn. the stitch work is stretchy and has a lacy look but is not as airy. no room for little fingers to get through the stitches.the finished cocoon is 18”by 20” and the hat is 5” by 12”. I used 1/2 my skein using 1 strand through out.
