The hat is knitted in the round from brim to top. You need to know how to cast on and off, knit and purl, and knit two stitches together.

This is an easy pattern to make and is suitable for the novice. The scarf is long enough, about 47 inch circumference to be worn in one long loop, OR it can be doubled for a closer fit.

The pattern is worked in multiples of 18 stitches so you can make the blanket as large or as small as you desire. I used circular needles to accommodate the large number of stitches.

This is an easy pattern to make using single crochet, and a berry stitch. Instructions for the berry stitch are included in the pattern.
