I made this pattern for fun, and was surprised by how well it turned out. I’ve made this a few times for gifts for friends, and I always enjoy people trying to guess what the pattern is supposed to be.

I always loved this design. For years I would see it, but I never saw a universal name to describe it. Living near the National Nordic Museum for a year and seeing it popular in their designs, I named this the Nordic Star.

Not to be cliche, but I do get complimented on this hat a lot. It’s a custom design that was a lot of fun to make, and took some time to make the jack-o’-lanterns just right.
