Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
The blue yarn with added sparkle made me think of night skies and the twinkle of stars and so this sock was born.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Lacuna, meaning interval, is a triangular shawl worked from the bottom up. The border lace is worked on one side and the main lace pattern is worked on both sides, but there are stocking stitch rows for a rest or interval. The green shawl pictured is worked in camel and silk lace which gives it a light yet luxurious feel.
Knitting: Gloves
These are simple gloves which add a touch of sparkle to winter mornings. The gloves pictured are knit in Debbie Bliss Rialto 4ply with Ring-a-Rosie stargazer 4 ply as the contrast yarn.
Knitting: Headband
A quick and simple tie headband with a cable panel.
Knitting: Christmas Stocking
My mum knitted my siblings and I personalised Christmas stockings from a pattern in a magazine in the 70s. The pattern has since been lost, but I wanted to carry on the tradition for my children, so I came up with this pattern. The motif section is knitted flat and then the stocking is joined and worked in the round from just above the heel.
Knitting: Bookmark
This is a simple cable bookmark, quick to knit up, perfect for a last-minute gift.
