Knitting: Beanie, Toque
Squish is that perfect, slightly slouchy, but not too slouchy hat knit in super squishy, extra warm brioche stitch. Knit with a turned hem brim, it will give that extra bit of warmth when the wind picks up. This pattern really sings when knit with hand spun yarn, but is equally fabulous with your favorite soft worsted weight.
Knitting: Cowl
I am a yarn hoarder. There I said it. We all have that one beautiful skein in our stash that is begging for that “just right” pattern, and this luscious cowl fit the bill for me.

If not using handspun, cho...

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
This shawl came to be after I received a gorgeous skein of Wollmeise at the Spring Fling in St. Louis. I had no idea what it was called, but it looked like the Ocean to me. Claudia (of Wollmeise) told me the next day that the color was “Scarabus” or Scarab in English. I couldn’t decide what to call this pattern, so I put it out to my Plurk budd...

I designed this hat with a few things in mind. It needed to be soft and warm, as I live in a very cold climate, have an interesting stitch pattern that would keep it from getting boring, and I wanted to maximize the beautiful multi-tonal colours in the Malabrigo Rios. This textured stitch pattern really shows off the yarn, and was a ton of fun ...
Knitting: Cloche Hat
This hat is a very special design, made originally for my very fashion forward sister Karen. Stordimento means stunning in Italian, and that is exactly what Karen is.  The felting used to complete the project makes the pattern very forgiving. The folded brim can be shaped any way you like, and the size can be adjusted through felting. While the...

Knitting: Beanie, Toque
This is a free pattern I designed to use up some single dye lot skeins of Manos del Uruguay. It’s a very quick knit (about a day) and uses less than a skein.
Knitting: Scarf
This scarf is super soft, and a super quick knit with big results. The lace motif kept reminding me of a couple swaying back and forth dancing, thus the name “The Waltz”. I hope you enjoy knitting this pattern as much as I did.
