I was intending on blocking this little snippet of lace, but something unexpected happened:

It seems only fitting that we should begin our exploration of themes from The Two Towers with a piece designed to represent one of those towers.

Intermediate level. Charted design. Cables and lace work.

The hat features a fair isle band just above the ribbing and a nifty twisted stitch pattern on the top, that forms a medallion when viewed from above.

Mosaic pattern makes the most of Noro’s spectacular color runs.

You could use any fingering yarn you like. Sort through the stash; play it up with beads; you’ve got a masterpiece on your hands.

This stunning cabled cape’s design flows organically from the trees of the Golden wood at the bottom of the cape into an intricate twisted stitch pattern, sure to grace the wearer.

This little sister to Moroccan Days/Arabian Nights is now available as a stand alone pattern on my website.

I made mine long so they would cover the forearms with a 3/4 length sleeve. They came in just under one skein of the Manos silk blend, but if you are in a hurry, you could easily do two pattern repeats instead of three. Malabrigo’s silky merino would also be lovely.
