Knitting: Washcloth / Dishcloth
I have lots of friends who are trying to reduce the use of plastics and disposable cloths. I’ve made loads of these cloths now in cotton ‘string’ type yarn for washing dishes and in softer, brightly coloured cotton yarn as face cloths. The mini versions are useful as make up remover pads. Chinese waves pattern looks really intricate but is easy...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
My husband is obsessed with Citroen cars, so a hat with their iconic chevrons built using simple cable stitches was a perfect present to keep his head warm while he is out in the garage restoring his fleet. The hat uses about 75 gramms of Chunky (USA bulky) yarn and is knit in the round with 5.5mm (USA size 9) needles.

Knitting: Shawl / Wrap, Scarf
This scarf was born when I bought 2 different sets of bargain sale yarn. I wanted something that looked impressive, but was easy to knit in front of my favourite box sets. I started with the concept of equally spaced rows of holes (the periodic perforations) and then built some different blocks around that.
Knitting: Animal Toy
When a friend lost her furry companion she asked me to make her a woolly version… so this fleecy, fluffy shaggy dog was created. Worked mostly in Robin Fleece Chunky yarn he is wonderfully soft and squidgy, with extra fluffy ears and tail. He also has optional smart outfit for going out and a Santa suit ready for Christmas. the pattern includes...
Knitting: Beanie, Toque
My Darling Husband gets cold ears out in his garage and since he spends most of his free time in there this is a problem. I made him one of the popular hats with ear flaps on Ravelry. This did a great job of keeping his ears warm, but, to put it politely, made him look distinctly peculiar. I was horrified to find him wearing it in the front gar...
Knitting: Pillow / Cushion
These bunny cushions were designed for two rabbit mad grown ups in my family. They can also be used as pyjama cases.
Knitting: Coffee / Tea Pot
We bought a clay ‘Pointy Penguin’ on a holiday in France- and fell in love with the shape and the shrugging shoulders look. Last year he adorned out handmade xmas cards and bunting and this year he made an appearance as a winter teacosy.
Knitting: Bag - Other
This bag was designed for my marvellous Mother in Law to carry her knitting in. The classic knitting bag shape is achieved by using ribbing stitch top, bottom and sides, with a simple basket weave pattern for the body.

These spiders are really easy to knit in garter stitch (knit every row). Perfect for when you remember the deadline for the Innocent Big Knit charity knit www.thebigknit.co.uk is this month. Alternatively you can use them as an egg cosy.
Knitting: Chart, Scarf

Knitting: Cowl
As we started to move into spring I wanted a reasonably lightweight cowl that was smart enough for work but also good for the weekend. I love doing spontaneous cables, just starting at the bottom and deciding where they want to go as I go along… so this is the result with wavy edges and entwining cables.
Knitting: Cowl
My sister is ‘infinitely busy’, finishing a degree, holding down two jobs and looking after hubby and two kids. I designed this cosy infinity cowl to keep her warm as she bustles about. This scarf has a honeycomb pattern for such a busy bee and ribbing, as she holds everything together so well.
Knitting: Hanging Ornament
Having already made some knitted Christmas cards I couldn’t resist having a garland/ banner to match. You can mix and match penguins and owls… with hats and scarves to make your own personal design.
Knitting: Animal Toy
My friend’s little girl loves owls, and she loves ballet, so obviously ‘ballet owl’ was born as a birthday present. The different sizes are due to using different weights of wool double knit for the brown owl and 4 ply for the beige one. You can make your owls and the outfit any colours you like.
Knitting: Decorative - Other
I think knitted Christmas cards are super cute. With this pattern you can mix and match different birds.. penguin, owl and robin… with sweaters hats and scarves to make lot of completely unique cards. I’ve been making a family of 7 to give out for our ‘girls’ Christmas get together this year.

This mermaid tail was designed for a teenage niece, but I soon had requests from the grown-ups for them too. Requests for a version for smaller children soon followed, and the design here is suitable for children about 5-6 years of age, or older if you make the tail longer.
Knitting: Animal Toy
PDF knitting pattern for a knitted owl, with instructions for 3 different styles of hat and one scarf also included. The original version of the owls are on the wall of my sewing room, keeping an eye on me! The first of the family had a Santa hat and was knitted as a present for a little girl who loves owls. Knitting: Scarf
This scarf was designed as a present for my friend’s 4 year old, who loves all sorts of bugs and creepy crawlies. I wanted something to keep him cosy on the way to school. The spiders have spooky eyes and legs on the front and a fluffy behind too.
