Knitting: Ankle Sock
These pretty ankle socks begin at the toe and feature a combination of lace and stripes in a contrasting colour through the length of the sock. A German short row heel is worked and the lace pattern continues around the leg of the sock ending with a choice of either a fold over lace cuff or a plain rib cuff.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
“Unless someone like you cares a whole awful lot, nothing is going to get better. It’s not.”
Knitting: Cowl
Twilight “the soft glowing light from the sky when the sun is below the horizon, caused by the reflection of the sun’s rays from the atmosphere”.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
An easy to knit ribbed lace sock pattern knit one at a time from the toe up using one long circular needle magic loop style with an afterthought heel. The pattern is written for one size only, 9”/24cm foot at ball of foot. The pattern is unable to be sized down due to the number of stitches in the pattern repeats.
Knitting: Mid-calf Socks
A simple one at a time, toe up sock, with a short row reinforced heel. The textured stitch pattern gives a nice amount of stretch, similar to rib, making for a comfy fitting sock. An easy pattern, great for showing off speckled and variegated yarns.
Knitting: Shawl / Wrap
Some patterns are born from the idea of a stitch pattern, some come from an idea seen or imagined or an experience had and some are inspired by the yarn. This is certainly a case of the later.
