Cascade Cardi
Stitch Tutorial: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=OzRiFwkkTPw
The Cascade Cardi is constructed in five different panels: two front panels, one back panel, and two sleeve panels. Each panel is worked sideways before being seamed together using mattress stitch. The cuffs for the sleeves are worked separately and sewn to the sleeves, finishing the cardigan off by crocheting the button band onto the front panels.
Measurements you’ll need:
-Bust/chest circumference with 20-25 cm (8-10 in) of positive ease or positive ease of choice. You’ll use half of this measurement for the back panel.
-Arm length starting from wrist to the middle of bicep and also from wrist to middle of shoulder
-Wrist circumference (or cuff width of choice)
-Length from waist to the top of shoulder (or longer)
Yardage needed for this pattern will depend on the type of yarn you use, as well as the yarn weight. For this pattern, I made a size with a 114 cm (44/45 in) bust and worsted weight yarn, which totaled to a little under 2400 yards. This gave me around 25 cm (10 in) of positive ease.
Yarn suggestions: Yarn bee soft secret (used for the sample shown), Caron simply soft, Mighty Stitch by knitpicks, Drops big merino, Drops lima (or yarn of choice)
This is an intermediate-advanced pattern, depending on your crochet skill level. Refer to the pictures & tutorials provided to help guide you and take your time reading through the pattern. Be sure to turn your work after every chain 1 instruction.
