Based on my graduate work in physics, the Color Me Candida socks give a playful look at what I stare at every day… squiggly shapes. While they may seem disordered and random, these features tend to have repeated shapes over time.

I hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

The sock is knitted cuff down, with a traditional slip stitch heel flap and gusset.

The heel flap and gusset can be substituted for your preferred heel type if you would like. Feel free to reach out if you have questions about how to accomplish this.

Gauge: 36 stitches x 44 rows for 4 inches (10 cm) in stockinette stitch, blocked using US 1.5 (2.5 mm) needles.

This pattern is written for four sizes, small, medium, large, and extra-large which correspond to the finished circumferences: 6.2” (7.1”, 8”, 8.9”); 15.5 cm (17.75 cm, 20 cm, 22.5 cm)

I would recommend selecting a size with -1” (-2.5 cm) of ease.
