Twisted Filaments proves that vanilla doesn’t have to mean boring. This sock keeps it simple where it counts, but sneaks in a little surprise—a slim cable running down each side of the leg and foot. Just enough detail to keep things interesting, without stealing the spotlight. Easy to wear, satisfying to knit, and anything but dull.

Materials needed:

Yarn:
One 100 g hank of fingering weight yarn. This pattern will shine best when made with a tonal, solid or self-striping yarn, but any fingering weight yarn can be used.

Needle size: one 32” US 1 (2.25 mm) for magic loop, or one set of US 1 (2.25 mm) needles in your preferred sock needle type.

Gauge: 36 stitches = 4” (10 cm) – measure after blocking

Sizes S (M, L, XL); 6.2” (7.1”, 8”, 8.8”); 15.5 cm (17.75 cm, 20 cm, 22.5 cm)

I recommend choosing a size that provides 1” (2.5 cm) of negative ease.
