This pattern is worked as a circle, each row making a new ring, starting at the back of the head and ending with the headband brim. The nesting V-stitches add a fun patterning that is still approachable for an experienced beginner.

Notes are included to adjusting the size to your head and individual gauge. I used a hand-dyed bulky/chunky wool yarn from our sheep, but you can experiment with other yarns or bundling smaller yarns together. I would not recommend using a super bulky yarn, as this pattern works best with some drape.
