Custom Swaying is a shawl name inspired by Custom Haying. In the High Desert West in the US, Mamalou has tried her hand at both Custom Haying--making bales of alfalfa hay with a special baler--and knitting these shawls with a small swaying ruffle.

Custom Swaying shawl will give comfort year round. We have lots of repetition in the pattern, all knit in garter stitch. There are two parts to each pattern: an increase section, called Main Part, and a Swaying Part--that Sway requires increasing stitches.

Custom Swaying is a premium project for both beginners, or for relaxing by experts. You have the choice to make this project as long as you like.
