A mobius strip is made with a half twist in the fabric; if you were to trace your finger around the strip, your finger would travel the entire length of the strip on both sides without having crossed an edge. The mobius width can be changed by about 1” by adding/removing lace pattern repeats. The background and edge border of the mobius scarf is worked in garter stitch for reversibility.

The designer used less than 2 skeins of FibraNatura Flax yarn. A provisional crochet chain cast on is used to begin the scarf, and stitches are grafted together once the mobius scarf is complete.
