Got Fish? Tapestry
The Got Fish? Tapestry is a FREE, intermediate, crochet tapestry pattern. This pattern is perfect for crocheters for whom this may be their first hanging tapestry but do have some colorwork experience.
The Got Fish? tapestry instructions include a grid pictured within the PDF, a link to Stitch Fiddle, fully written out instructions, and colorblock instructions. The pattern also includes written and pictured tutorials for key tapestry techniques like color changes, yarn floats, and more! Additionally, options and instructions have been included for different ways to finish your tapestry such as adding a border or a dowel for hanging.
This pattern is suitable as an independent tapestry or incorporated into a base wearable of any size. The yarn weight and hook size can be altered to fit your needs. Know that yarn amounts may vary considerably as you change the yarn weight, hook size, stitch used, etc.
Materials
- Worsted Weight Yarn (#4) in 7 colors totaling to about 40 g (70-80 yds)
- 3.75 mm crochet hook
- tapestry needle
- scissors
Optional Materials
- 1-2 dowels of desired circumference
- felt or stiff fabric
- cotton thread in desired color
- sewing needle / sewing machine
- sewing pins
