❄️ A merry little stocking, one hexagon at a time

There is something magical about waking up on Christmas morning to a stocking full of goodies, and making your own adds so much handmade charm. This granny hexagon stocking is quick and easy to whip up.

It is part of the Very Merry Tweedmas collection, a fresh take on the traditional granny square. It comes with the full pattern and a helpful video tutorial.

✨ What makes it work

• Two hexagon choices. Traditional or puff, 12 per stocking.
• Flat slip stitch join. A neat, simple way to connect the motifs.
• Special ribbing. Finishes the top of the stocking.
• Finishing touches. A leather hanging strap and a little tree ornament.
• You’re not on your own. Video tutorial and written pattern included.

✂️ What you’ll need

• Yarn: Brava Tweed, WeCrochet (97% premium acrylic, 3% viscose, 218 yds/100g, worsted). Colors shown: Wren, Wasabi and Mink
• Yardage: Traditional, 1 skein each of Wren, Wasabi and Mink. Puff, 2 skeins Wren and 1 skein Mink. Substitutions are listed in the pattern.
• Hook: G (4.0mm)
• Tools: Scissors · Yarn Needle · Removable Stitch Markers · Wood Blocking Board
• To finish like the sample: Wooden Beads · Cinnamon Stick (or a regular stick) · String · Leather hanging strap
