You can choose either a horse or unicorn, designed in a Waldorf style it is easy to knit using simple techniques and minimal materials with a photo step by step tutorial. The toy can also be easily made into a rattle.

The pattern is available for instant download in English. Finished horse is 8cm in height and 11cm long.

Skills required:
Cast on, knit stitch, knit 2 stitches together, cast off, simple embroidery, increase, knit 3 stitches together, i-cord

Materials used:

About 25g of DK 8ply wool or cotton (colour of your choice)
A small amount of wool or cotton for the mane in the colour of          
your choice
2.75mm knitting needles
2.75mm DPNS for the horn (only if knitting unicorn)
A small amount of black embroidery thread for eyes
A small amount of gold embroidery thread for horn (only if 
knitting unicorn)
Darning needle for sewing the project together
Wool stuffing
Scissors

The body of the horse is knitted in one piece and the ears are knitted separately and sewn on at the end.
