This toy is designed in a Waldorf style, it is easy to knit using simple techniques and minimal materials. The pig can also be easily made into a rattle.

The pattern is available for instant download in English. Finished pig is 8cm in height and 11cm long.

Skills required:
Cast on, knit stitch, knit 2 stitches together, inc (kfb), I-cord, cast off, simple embroidery

Materials used:

• About 25g of DK 8ply wool or cotton in body colour (pink)
• 2.75mm knitting needles
• 2 x 2.75mm dpns for icord tail
• A small amount of black embroidery thread for eyes
• Darning needle for sewing the project together
• Wool or cotton stuffing
• Scissors
• Optional: rattle piece if making a baby rattle

The body of the pig is knitted in one piece and the ears are knitted separately and sewn on at the end.
