The design builds on the clean lines of the Form & Fit© construction.

An asymmetrical architecture reflects how bodies vary across sizes and proportions, allowing the sweater to follow the body’s natural contours.

One sweater — three ways to knit it
Inge is designed to be used at different levels, depending on how much shaping you would like to apply:

Standard Knit
Follow the pattern as written — no calculations needed.

Structured Fit (Pick & Match©)
Select modules for back width, upper body (yoke), and body shaping to balance your proportions.

Full Tailoring (Tailoring Fit Guides)
Refine posture, bust, waist, and hips using structured guidance and simple calculations.

All three approaches are included in the pattern.

Pick & Match© — structured flexibility
Instead of choosing one fixed size, the sweater is built from separate elements:
• back & shoulders
• upper body (yoke)
• body shaping

This makes it possible to combine sizes and proportions while maintaining clean lines and balance.
The pattern guides you step by step, with clear checkpoints along the way.

Tailoring Fit Guides — included
The pattern includes a set of structured guides for refining fit at key body areas:
• Posture Shaping — rounded back
• Full Bust Adjustment (FBA) — width and length
• Waist shaping — hourglass
• A-line shaping — hips and rounded/apple shapes

Designed for use while knitting, they provide:
• body reference points for precise placement
• step-by-step shaping instructions
• clear rules of thumb and decision steps
• simple calculation examples
• illustrated methods
• cause-and-effect tables for diagnosing fit

Use them as needed — or follow the standard version for a straightforward knit.
