The Lacy Cable R-Cardigan is knitted top-down as a European Shoulder Construction with bell-shaped set-in sleeves and a size-specific engineered round neck.

Vertical lacy cable stripes alternate with ribbed stockinette stripes, creating clean vertical lines and a balanced silhouette. A positive ease of 8–12 cm 3¼–4¾“ is recommended.
The round neck is shaped separately for each size group to maintain balanced depth, angle, and stripe flow across the chest throughout the full size range from** XS to 5XL⁺.

The yoke includes size-specific row-by-row instructions, allowing each size to build its own armhole geometry while maintaining the same visual balance and stripe flow.
The sleeves are worked in stockinette stitch and finished with the signature Lacy Cable Cuffs. The bottom hem, neckband, and button band are worked in double-knit stockinette stitch. After dividing body and sleeves, the cardigan is worked flat — without steeking.

The pattern also includes optional shaping enclosures that tailor the body while blending naturally into the lacy cable stitch pattern:
• Diamond Bust Darts
• Waist Shaping (Hourglass)
• Hip Shaping (A-line)
