The Juliet Scarf is worked in DK weight yarn on 4.5 mm needles, but its wonderfully adaptable design means you can use anything from fingering to chunky yarn—it effortlessly transforms to highlight your chosen fiber. Solid or softly tonal shades will best showcase the delicate texture of the rose bud lace, while darker or highly variegated yarns may soften the stitch definition for a subtler look. With an unfussy gauge and a relaxing rhythm, this pattern invites you to simply cast on and enjoy the process.

You’ll start with an easy cast-on and a gentle garter stitch increase section that gently widens the fabric before the main stitch repeat. From there, the fabric flows into a soothing mix of garter stitch and the dainty rose bud lace pattern—adding just the right touch of texture and charm without being fussy. When you’ve reached your desired length, garter decreases shape the other end to a soft point for a beautifully balanced finish. Please note that there is no exact yardage required for this pattern. The reason is because, obviously, everyone likes a different scarf length and I cannot accommodate all of that in the yardage. Same goes for the measurements, I have only included the length of my sample in the pattern.
