LINE Beanie is a technique-building project in two-color brioche, where structure and color logic are in focus.

The hat is knitted from the bottom up and allows you to systematically work with the structure of the brioche rib: the interaction between stitches and yarn overs, the rhythm of the color change and the vertical structure of the stitches. The contrasting colored lines create a calm, graphic expression and at the same time make it easier to read the stitch pattern as you go.

The project is particularly suitable if you want to:

• build security in two-tone brioche
• learn to recognize and “read” brioche
• work with intakes integrated into structure
• understand how shaping affects the knitted image

The decreases at the top form a spiral, which trains your ability to maintain the rhythm of the structure even when the number of stitches is reduced. You work with the technique in a clear format, where the repetition creates calm and contemplation.

The elasticity of the brioche knit makes the hat reversible and moldable, but it is as much a study in structure as a finished product.

Dimensions: Fits head circumference 54-58 (58-63) cm

Knitting gauge: 12 stitches x 20 rows = 10 x 10 cm

Recommended needles: Double pointed needles 5.0 mm

Yarn: 2x 75 m yarn with a running length of approx. 100 m / 50 g. The models are knitted in Viking Superwash (100 m / 50 g). Alternatively, other yarn with approx. the same running length and knitting tension can be used. Please note that yarn consumption may vary.
