We delight in the beauty of the butterfly, but rarely admit the changes it has gone through to achieve that beauty.

This pattern uses the corrugated rib to add interest but a plain rib can also be used.

Size: Adult medium

Gauge: 24 sts x 28 rows = 4” (10cm) in stranded pattern, in the round, after blocking

Yarn: DK. The Dk used in this pattern is a light DK. Please check your gauge and adjust needles accordingly.

It’s best to use high contrast colours to allow the details of the butterfly to show.

There are some long floats, so I would catch on every 3rd or 4th stitch.
