Marigot Vest is an elegant vest made from Falkland wool, Alpaca, Silk and Mohair. It is a close-fitting Vest that can be nicely worn with trousers or skirts for a sophisticated look. It is designed with contrasting side panels in garter stitch pattern that create a beautiful frame of the upper body. A simple geometric intarsia pattern at the center Front, adds not only visual interest but also versatility in the variety of yarn combinations that can be used, both in texture and in color.

Construction Notes:

Marigot Vest is worked flat, bottom-up. The edges of the armhole are finished with a beautiful (and very easy to work) I-Cord edging while working the Front and Back pieces, so no stitches are picked up afterwards. The shoulders are finished with short rows and 3-needle bind off. The Back and Front pieces are seamed together at the sides. A garter border is picked up to form the neckband.

Techniques used: increases, decreases, bind off, 3-needle bind off, intarsia knitting, German short rows, chart reading skill and seaming.
