Melbourne Mitts (Light)
The Melbourne Mitts pattern is available for both DK weight (8ply) yarn and Fingering weight (4ply) yarn – the DK weight version of the pattern is the Melbourne Mitts.
You can purchase both patterns as a discounted bundle. Add both the Melbourne Mitts pattern and the Melbourne Mitts (Light) pattern to your cart at the same time or separately, and you will automatically receive a big discount.
Melbourne can get pretty cold in the Autumn and Spring months, so while you may not need thick woolly mitts, a light layer is a great option for keeping your hands nice and warm.
While the usual approach to fashion in Melbourne is ‘anything goes as long as its black’, I love to brighten up my outfits with pops of amazing colour. These mitts can be that bold and bright statement of joy when you need it most.
The Melbourne Mitts (Light) is a fingering weight (4ply) version of the Melbourne Mitts and comes in five sizes, so you can find the perfect fit for you!
Easy to knit and a beautiful fit, this classic fingerless mitt pattern will knit up quickly and be your go-to mitt for years to come.
Requiring less than 50g of yarn, you could choose a special single skein or combine some gorgeous leftovers and have fun playing with colour. The mitts also look great in self-striping yarn!
I hope you enjoy this fun and satisfying pattern and get a lot of wear out of the mitts!
This pattern has been tech edited and fully tested. I warmly welcome any feedback or questions about the pattern.
Happy making!
