Mílo Cardigan
The Mílo Cardigan was created out of love for frills and big collars. It is a garment that is both playful and elegant, designed to be able to be dressed up as well as dressed down for casual wear. The refined details throughout the pattern add to the overall finish of the garment. Mílo is designed for the grownup version of the kid inside us. Use different colours for the collar, the sleeve frills or the frill of the collar and unleash your creativity
Milo cardigan has a top down construction. It has a positive ease of 5-10 cm. The pattern starts by working the back, the fronts are picked up from the cast on edge of the back piece, later on joined with the back and worked till the ribbing or the desired length. Button bands are picked up and knitted in ribbing. The collar of the cardigan follows and lastly sleeves are picked up, shaped with short rows for a better fit. Two strands of yarn are held together throughout the whole pattern except in the frill of the collar where only 1 strand of fingering weight yarn is used.
Gauge: 18 sts x 30 rows = 10 x 10 cm in stockinette stitch after blocking.
Always use needles that will get you the required gauge.
