Mirror Image Hats
About the Mirror Image Hats:
Mirror Image Hats are two patterns in one! Both Darnay & Carton Hats are delightfully quick knits and can be a stress-free introduction to stranded colorwork.
Designed to either use a single skein + stash yarn or two skeins perfectly, the Darnay & Carton Hats are perfect for the knitter who doesn’t have a lot of storage space or is conscious of waste. The simple colorwork is easy enough for an introduction, but also breaks up the knitting of this hat so you’ll be done with it before you know it. This hat is equally lovely in brights, neutrals, or even in a low-contrast color pairing. The colorwork is subtle, so any color pairing will work!
This hat was inspired by A Tale of Two Cities, and the characters of Charles Darnay and Sydney Carton. The novel, which is told in three parts, similar to the three colorwork sections of these hats, hinges on the similarities and differences between Charles and Sydney. The waves of colorwork on each of these hats (Carton is pictured with pink as the MC and Darnay with teal as the MC) mirror each character’s arc throughout the novel. Simple, timeless, and classic, both the Darnay and Carton hats are ones that can be worn (and knit) again and again.

A Note Regarding Yarn:
All yarn measurements are for the finished products, with exact grams and 1-2m/yds added for flexibility. I use these exact measurements to encourage knitting from your stash or using repurposed yarn as much as possible. This amount does not include swatching.
